Role Responsibilities:

DB2 Administrator

Up to $90K

Design and maintain databases and database solutions that operate within prescribed resource limits and meet standards. Participate in and contribute to all phases of systems development projects. Monitor and tune database and database application performance.

Qualifications:
-5+ years experience developing and maintaining complex applications that make extensive use of a supported database technology or 2+ years experience as a Database Administrator.
-Good working knowledge with both DB2 z/OS and/or DB2 LUW.
-Proficient with DCL, DDL, DBMS access methods, and underlying operating system access methods.
-Proven expertise in monitoring and performance tuning of both application SQL and database/instance configuration.
-Experience with BMC tools for DB2 (Change/Catalog Manager, MainView, Log Master) or equivalent.
-Expertise with DB2 utilities and recovery mechanisms.
-Experienced in Logical Data Modeling.
-Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Business or equivalent work experience.
