Database Administrator

Responsibilities:
-Manage and support the existing database.
-Proactively evaluate the existing architecture and design, monitor performance on a daily basis, provide disaster recovery solutions, and manage future business initiatives as they relate to the database.
-Manage SAN environment.
-Implement and maintain production databases and proactively optimize systems.
-Coordinate proprietary in-house file systems, databases and data flow control systems.
-Perform design review for logical and physical database.
-Coordinate extensive use of proprietary in-house file systems, databases and data flow control systems.
-Perform database backups, replication, tuning, and change management.

Qualifications:
-3+ years of SQL/MS SQL experience.
-3+ years experience with Linux platforms.
-Knowledge of PHP, Perl, and BASH.
-SAN knowledge, including Netapps and EMC experience.
-Strong communication and personal skills and the ability to interact well with members of the team.
-Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or related fields.
