C# Developer

Looking for a programmer with back office experience within the financial industry, as well as WPF and WCF experience.

Responsibilities:

Help create, integrate and maintain systems supporting Hedge Fund Accounting and Investor Services. You will help build, integrate, extend and support a suite of applications. These tools will be predominately written in C# using the latest Microsoft .NET technologies, including WCF and WPF.

The successful individual will be involved throughout the lifecycle of these tools from requirements capture with the Business, through development, integration, deployment and support in a team environment. Strong communication skills are critical, as are disciplined software development skills and a high level of self motivation.

Technical Skills:
-Must have a minimum of 5 years of C#/.NET.
-Must be skilled in object oriented analysis and design, including an understanding of design patterns and architectural framework.
-Comfortable using SQL both directly to a database from a command-line but also from code (ideally using technologies such as ADO.NET or similar).
-Needs to be able to design and implement GUIs that are usable, robust and extensible.
-Experience in building systems from front to back, from a client UI through to a server(s) providing underlying business functionality.

Nice to Have:
-Some experience implementing workflow-based systems (e.g Savvion, Microsoft WF) would be helpful.
-Any Linux experience via the command line.
-Proficient in a scripting language such as Perl or Python.
-Experience using Clearcase for source code control.
-Any C++ experience would be beneficial but not required.

Non Technical Skills:
-Must be an excellent communicator capable of liaising directly with the Business to understand and capture requirements.
-Enjoys working in a small team environment, freely sharing ideas and providing a sounding board for other members of the team.
-Must be happy to provide responsive support for system issues, including backing up other members of the team as required.
-Naturally tend to generate software solutions for Business challenges that are sustainable, supportable and scalable.
-Has a desire and tendency to understand how tools/systems fit within an overall business process.
