Responsibilities:
-Make recommendations for improvements to existing
firm processes and methodologies.
-Refine and facilitate the requirements and
prioritization processes for Core Technology.
-Refine and facilitate Core Technology transparency
and communication processes.
-Create/modify systems and procedures to improve
workflow and effectiveness.
-Facilitate the planning, coordination and execution
of project activities between cross functional
departments and teams.
-Provide background and analysis for the prioritization
of new or proposed business initiatives.
-Proactively communicate project status &
manage issues with team on a regular basis.
-Manage a portfolio of projects.
-Organize projects based on functional and chronological
dependencies.
-Collaborate with other associates in a globally
diverse environment.
-Communicate with firm associates and external
organizations.
-Serve as a sounding board and counselor for
the Core Tech. teams.
-Provide coaching and feedback to associates.
-Must be open and willing to travel on a regular
basis.
-Willing to learn the intricacies of a world-class
financial environment.
Qualifications:
-5+ years as Technology Project/Program manager
or Senior Technology Leader; preferably in an
electronic trading company, hedge fund, or similar
firm.
-Excellent interpersonal skills required. Ability
to relate effectively to all levels of associates:
management, developers, traders, and operations.
-Previous experience working with confidential
information a must.
-Previous project management experience.
-Previous technology leadership experience.
-Ability to understand complex technical projects.
-Able and willing to think and execute critical
strategic work through the life-cycle of a project.
-Ability to resolve conflicts.
-Highly effective at managing timelines, preparing
associates for upcoming milestones, and dealing
with unexpected delays.
-Able to manage numerous business priorities.
-Ability to work well in ambiguous, unstructured,
constantly changing environment.
-Ability to work across multiple time zones.
-Ability to handle confidential, sensitive information.
-Able to gather data/information and prepare
communications.
-Extraordinary organization, planning and time
management skills.
-Excellent interpersonal relations and communications
(oral and written).
-Excellent analytic, problem-solving ability.
-Willingness to understand the language and
environment.
