SR Cisco Network and IP Telephony Engineer

The senior voice and data engineer performs
high level design and implementation activities
and manages project staff. This person utilizes
pre-established design standards and guidelines
to perform functions of the job based on knowledge
of procedures and practices within the communications
industry required to provide solid IP telephony
and contact center design solutions for the
customer.
Responsibilities:
-Plans and organizes Cisco data network and
Unified Communications projects.
-Define project scope, plans and implements
project timelines.
-Responsible for providing applications and
systems design, implementation, and support
for specialized systems. This includes, but
is not limited to, Cisco Unified Communications
Manager, Cisco Unity voice mail as well as ACDs,
call trees, and agents using Cisco Unified Contact
Center Enterprise, and specialized carrier services.
-Work with external vendor in support of IP
telephony deployments to design, document and
implement Cisco UCC Enterprise auto attendants,
queues and agents. VXML and CVP Scripting experience
desirable but not required.
-Interacts with vendors and provides design
and support activities for external projects.
-Provides support services for all Cisco Unified
Communications voice, security and LAN/WAN networks
including wiring, connectors, CSU/DSUs, smart
jacks, voice mail, modems, and other related
IP and voice peripherals and instruments, as
required.
-Inventory open issues and provide support interface/handoff
as necessary
Qualifications:
-5-10 years of experience with Cisco infrastructure
products, including design, implementation,
ongoing management and troubleshooting in a
mid to enterprise environment
-Cisco Unified Communication Build/Design including
Communication Manager, Unity, gateway, dial-peer,
IOS design and configuration experience
-Strong communication skills and technical writing
-Understanding of project planning and processes
-Ability to interpret audit information and
map requirements to potential system features
-Cisco UCCE Enterprise Build/Design auto attendant
and agent queue design. VXML and CVP scripting
preferred but not required.
-Strong documentation skills utilizing Visio,
Excel and Word applications
-Attention to detail
