Responsibilities:
-Lead a software engineering team in developing
and operating a set of highly scalable, highly
reliable services. The suite of services support
the functionality of Company’s websites
globally
-Lead a team of software engineers in design,
development, test, and deployment.
-Work with senior management, engineering principals
and the product team to help shape the business
requirements, bring high quality customer experience
to market by owning the development of &
operating business critical software services.
Qualifications:
-Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer
Science or equivalent (Computer Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, etc.)
-The key requirement for this position is established
skill designing and developing simple solutions
to complex problems.
-Strong technical credentials, with at least
5 years experience managing software development
teams, with hands-on architectural or distributed
systems experience
-Development Expertise in OOP, Java, UNIX, C++,
Perl, XML, Web services, and UNIX tools.
-Excellent written and verbal communication
skills with the ability to present complex technical
information in a clear and concise manner to
a variety of audiences
-A track record of communicating well with executives
and non-technical leaders.
-Established background in building and managing
reliable software in a service-oriented environment,
have such software operate at high-scale and
reliability with high SLA’s, have a strong
technical background, excellent project management
skills, great communication skills, and a motivation
to achieve results in a fast paced environment.
